I'd like to support the idea of a configurable timeout. For me the issue is this: when I look at my watch I expect to see the time! Too often I'm seeing the latest notification, which I have to press a button to dismiss. Pressing a button to see the time is a bit retro isn't it?
Hi Steven, I also support the idea of a configurable timeout but for the opposite reason :-)
I have my phone on quiet the whole day, so I depend on my watch to be alerted when there is a message which might contain something interesting.
Sometimes I do not notice the vibration when a new message appears and since the timeout is now fixed to 3 minutes I'm not informed at all. So now I need to look at my phone from time to time to check whether I missed something which kind of discards the whole idea behind having a smart watch.
So I would like some messages to be on screen for a longer period (like 60 minutes).
Indeed there is a tradeoff (pressing a button to see the time) but I'm willing to deal with this.
I have filed a request for configurable timeouts mutilpe times, but got no response whatsoever.
